Disappointment in oneself after failing

You know that sting when you believe you can do something well and then you trip and fall at the first step? Really stings, and that just happened to me.

I got a chance to apply for a programming internship for a company, they send a coding challenge to all participants, which is a whole other issue I won't touch on now, and they do offer a tutorial challenge on how the online IDE works, I completed that challenge with relative ease and in 5 minutes, but the actual challenge takes 50 minutes max, and it was constructed around stack logic, which is one of my Achilles' heel. I stared at the problem for 5 minutes and promptly gave up. Not because I give up easily, but I am not rated for this kind of challenge right about now.

I did have a chance to grind some challenges out to warm up that muscle, and then attempt it, but my impatience cost me this opportunity.

Just wanted to share that, good luck to all of you who are trying to make something of themselves in this economy.
