I sell digital products (tool site templates, Android app source code) on Gumroad, and I made $0 in the first 6 months. The problem was my product descriptions: they were "The Ultimate Guide to..." AI-generated crap that nobody trusted.
I rewrote all my product descriptions to be honest: "This template is basic, but it works for small tool sites. I used it for my 50 sites, and it's free if you can't afford it." Now I make $200/month, mostly from broke developers like me.
People buy from humans, not AI robots. Be honest about your product's flaws, and you'll make more sales.
