If you like MAMP wait until you try Local by Flywheel for local WordPress development.

Didn't know about Pichi. That looks awesome.

3. Transmit

For FTP, A GOD. here's a video that will make you go wow, Its also made by the same company that made Firewatch and the untitled goose game! šŸ¦†

Not really, Panic (the company behind Transmit) made the macOS port of those game but wasn't the original creator.

FireWatch was created by Campo Santo and Untitled Goose Game by House House

Aside from this, thanks for the list. šŸ˜‰

What's the added value of Alfred over Spotlight? As in: what are some things I can't do with Spotlight that I can with Alfred. I'm hearing loads of recommendations, but I just don't see the added value just yet.

The Spotlight-like (but better) functionality is only the tip of the iceberg. Lots of reading here: alfredapp.com/help/features/

Workflows are VERY powerful and I've automated a lot of tedious stuff with them, the clipboard history works better than any other clipboard manager I've tried, snippets and text expansion come in handy for some repetitive stuff, etc.

Whether or not these features are useful to you is entirely dependent on your usage.

Great list! I love VSCode and Grammarly. I see some great apps on your list, will definitely try out. Thank you for sharing.

For WordPress development, I use local by flywheel, have you tried that?

Also, I use Daily as my new tab chrome extension — super helpful for staying up-to-date with all development news.

I use Discord purely for audio? Is there a community for developers on it?

I use it for my team when developing. It does a lot of what slack can do and it's free.
