My journey at Atlan over the past year
Over the last year, Iโve grown from writing frontend code to fully owning product features that power workspace onboarding workflows and infrastructure scale.
๐ What I Work On
At Atlan, I contribute to our Internal Developer Portal (IDP) โ a platform that helps onboard new customer workspaces, manage infrastructure at scale, and bring cost transparency across teams.
This means building tools for developers โ and ensuring theyโre reliable, scalable, and easy to use.
๐ก From Engineer to Product Thinker
What started as a frontend engineering role soon turned into something much bigger.
I started picking up backend tickets. Then I started thinking about how features connect. Then I started owning entire problems end-to-end โ and began thinking like a Product Engineer.
It wasnโt just about building things.
It was about building the right things.

๐ง What I Learned
โ Real ownership drives better outcomes
โ Collaboration is about alignment, not just hand-offs
โ Writing good docs is just as important as writing good code
๐ฎ Looking Forward
Iโm still a Software Engineer by title, but I work and think like a Product Engineer.
Next goals:
- ๐ฆ Deepen my product thinking
- ๐ฌ Build with more user empathy
- ๐ ๏ธ Solve harder, more meaningful platform problems
