I have learnt JavaScript, Python and am learning the Express framework for backend and mongo db
great but what I think rather than just learning and learning you should actually apply them..

Hello, I am definitely new to this side of the techie world. I have a long history of design first as print, then web, in recent years it's been mostly html email and wordpress websites on the design side with programming the emails and maintaining clients websites. However when the economy tanks design jobs are first to be let go. I am eager to jump or do my best to jump from design to the coding side. I feel overwhelmed at times learning javascript, thinking I should have started with python. I am hopeful to make this pivot work, fingers crossed.
