Hello
Hi Everyone,
I am a web dev bootcamp (Colt Steele's on Udemy) graduate trying to make the career change. I'm a few sites deep and keen to learn and progress as much as possible. I just completed the hacktoberfest challenge, which was super fun to do, and was a great way to get outside of my own github cave! Now im trying to dig deeper into the community which has been so welcoming and exciting so far :D
Hope your all having a productive and safe 2020!
Tom
I did Colt Steele's bootcamp on Udemy a few years ago. Good luck!
Hello
Hello 👋 hope you have fun at Dev and everything that you do 🥂
Hi there,
I've been following this community on Twitter for some time now and I'm really liking the content and the welcoming atmosphere.
I'm a (web)developer for 15 years now. Started with PHP, moved on to C#/.NET and for the last two years NodeJS.
I like the idea of learning by teaching: you can only fully understand something when you are able to explain it to someone else.
In the coming period I will be investigating setting up an authorization server (token server) with OAuth2 and OpenID Connect. My plan is to write some articles about it, which will help me comprehend the problem space, and hopefully help some other poor souls.
cool, can't wait for your articles, I am also currently studying OAuth2.
A little bit I am dreaming of an auth server, that can be installed and run like
npm install -g authserver-name && authserver.You have your first follower 👍
Welcome! That sounds a lot like what I'm planing to do. Just joined a few days ago.
Hi Everyone!

'Sup Everyone. It is pleasure to join this community.
I am a full stack web developer making things with TS and Node.js. I have walked many roads, have seeing different devs, practices and tools. I got through really hard times (one widely known PHP framework on backend and Vue components with html based on template literals🥴 ). I've seen a lot of weird things: one of my ex colleagues once wrote an html element with literally "undefined" class. I've touched, indeed, serious matter such as Java with many of its tools and frameworks.
I've just dived into Amazon Services with Node.js and having much fun with it!)
Wish all of you a clear mind, bright thoughts, light hands, healthy back😂 and have fun with what you do))
You can reach me any time

Hi, my name is yash and I am a beginner in the world of coding and Hacktoberfest is my first hackathon and I successfully completed it😊. I learnt from this month long coding drill that one don't need to be perfect to help others and helping gives extreme satisfaction.
From technical perspective my biggest lesson was that HTML has special codes for special characters. I admit, I didn't knew that and I don't know many tags and sequences but this world is not ending tomorrow so I am going to learn them soon😊.
Hello Everyone,
My name is Aman , I am a Computer science graduate and a passionate learner who loves to explore new things.

Hi, Everyone! I was researching React vs Svelte for an upcoming project and found a useful post here on DEV and decided to join.
I plan to post tutorials and snippets of what I'm working on as I learn and explore. I'm currently learning more about Cloudflare Workers, KV and Durable Objects. I'll post more as I go.
I'm also trying to make a point to set aside more time to code/learn on Codesandbox.
For example, this morning I created a basic ES6 wrapper for a javascript dependency resolver I found last night out of curiosity. "The power of
npm installat your fingertips! Muahahahah" 😈Anyway, thanks to the DEV.to team and see you out there!
Hello 👋
Im very glad to join this community 🔥🙏🏼
I have had a DEV account for quite some time now but I never really interacted with the community but now is the time to change that so here I am introducing myself 😁
I’m Sarra, a computer science student and an AI enthusiast. I’m also a member of the « Micro Club »( my university’s CS student club) it’s actually fellow members that introduced me to DEV a while back and I’m very happy that they did 👌🏼

Hey everyone. I am a really new programmer going through a bootcamp at this time. I have had plenty of times where I wanted to just give up and go back to being a Social Worker, but I was never the type to just give up (although I do feel this way sometimes). What brought me here was reading "The road to React" by Robin Wieruch. I was going through the book tutorial and one of the links led me here, and so I signed up. I am really happy that I did sign up, and I am happy to learn everything there is to know about programming.
Hello Developers, hope all of you staying safe and doing good. Very much glad to be in the part of this community. I'm learning about Cloud Technology, so looking to learn about cloud and gain knowledge on it. All of you do please help me out in my Cloud computing journey and find a suitable job.

Hey everyone 👋
I'm glad to join the dev.to community. I'm involved in creating the web for ~ 15 years. Everything I have learned was through free resources.

Hey guys! Glad to be here. I was searching for a place to share my open source projects and some of my experiments with Golang (my favorite language btw) and I found this community. Hope I can learn something new and know some great Go developers at the end of the day :)
Hi everyone. I'm a web developer working with react, nodejs and ruby. I consider myself a lucky person to be working as a programmer, to have a job in these uncertain times. I hope to learn a lot and add something to this community.
Hey everyone! I am a Python developer (self taught). I was searching for any blog or post relating to software jobs in Japan, and I came across a link which directed me to this website. I wanted to get in touch with the writer, but the only way to do so was by making an account. I have a project that I've been working on and this website is a great place to post content with periodical updates.
👋🏻 Hi all! I've been holed up at home, alone, for far too long. Having lost my job a year ago, I've found myself writing a bunch of code while I search for work. Unfortunately, sitting around at home and not having a job are both excellent ways to forget that other people exist in the world -- so I'm here to connect to a community as it relates to what I'm doing anyway, and hopefully be a bit more social.
Howdy, all! I was brought here to start a blog as part of my Software Engineering course at Flatiron School, but I'm excited to write on here, as I was an English major. I've worked in several different industries, from tool companies to film festivals, but I want a field I can stick to and make a career of. Enter, coding! I have some experience already-- mostly HTML, CSS, and JavaScript-- and am eager to get back into a field that I love. Thanks in advance for the community and support.
Hi, ALL dev community members and every body..i'm new in web developement and want to learn more about every thing..but i was confused about almost every aspect.. I found DEV very interesting community..actually Dev community is best place to meet really pros to learn and to exchange ideas..very nice community
Hi all, glad to be here. Been in the industry a looong time, but mostly stuck with legacy systems and languages. More recently got into Python and Django, a little Elm, some Flutter. Interested in the functional languages after trying Elm, and once I consider myself an "expert" within Django will probably teach myself Haskell.
Native Brit, but been living in Sweden for many years now.
Cheers
Mike
Hey everyone! I joined the community not so long ago and thanks to Hacktoberfest. I am a 'seasoned' software engineer who mainly focusses on backend development, which I have been doing since the end of the previous century (since 1996). Not sure what the average age on this community is, but I guess I'll be bringing it up a little. 😁
Still learning every day and that is what makes the profession interesting and challenging. Here I hope to learn even more and bring my experience to others. 🤓
Hi guys, i am a backend developer, just came across this amazing community by devs for devs, and wanted to be a part of it. Its an amazing feeling to be in touch with all the devs from across the world, and share and learn from them.

Hello, I'm a web developer and my name is Alex, I'm from Germany and I'm 25 years old. I was born in '95. Fun fact: Welcome Thread v95.
I'm learning right now ML (machine learning) with tensorflow.js and ml5.js which is super simple btw. I prefer ml5.js because it's a high-level framework for building and using machine learning models. Other frameworks I like and use you can find here: github.com/cryptnotehq?tab=stars
Some of them I use in my main project Cryptnote (cryptnote.net).
I came here because I clicked on the share button on stackoverflow and it showed three websites, one of them was dev.to. I want to use this website to connect and meet other developers (Any females here? 😏 ❤️).
Oh yes and I'm currently facing a problem with training a model in ml5.js using a "lstm" layer. You can help me if you want here: stackoverflow.com/q/64412066/11841969
Hopefully I meet here nice people to chat with (online & offline). Maybe I can find people who are interested in any of my projects and we can work together on them.
Thanks,
Alex

Hello everybody, I'm really happy I found this site and such a welcoming community! I'm a dad in his early 40's learning to code as a hobby. Hopefully, I'll be able to apply some of the tools I learn to improve our company's reports and data management. I'll do my best to post the bits of code that I have a hard time googling. With luck, some of you will find my posts useful.

Hey everyone! Austin here (22) and i'm happy to join the community! Back when I was younger I did small amounts of coding for my game servers. When I was 17, I started my own e-commerce brands and that's when everything fell into place. So far, I've sold these products and I've became very successful. But, I want to create my own software and apps. Helping more people and solving real-life problems. That's why I am also in the works of a new mobile app that will save lives. Python is the first code I will be learning in my journey! I would love all the feedback and recommendations you have! I'd love to hear what your experiences are as well :)
Hello everyone,
Glad to join this amazing community. I'm self placed learner currently pursuing B.tech. I joined to this community just because to spread knowledge and gain knowledge from you.

Hello everyone, delighted to join this community.I'm a computer science student currently learning Java. I have also learned a bit of Web development and looking forward to it. I'm also learning the basics of Cyber Security which in turn includes the basics of Linux environment..Yeah, I know you all must be thinking I'm learning a lot but what I prefer saying is- I'm just experimenting(exploring would be a better word I guess😅) on my interests, or simply trying to figure it out which industry is kinda best for me. I also seek help from this community and also I would be helping people whenever I could.
I think it should be better to spend time here instead of just scrolling down the Instagram😋
Hey there. I've been in stealth mode for a few years, just growing my skills and learning how to get digital. I came to Dev.to because there's no better place for dev content, and I have some projects I'm pretty excited about, and that I think others in this community will appreciate, also.
My first post here is about my story learning technical stuffs, which led to the idea of creating a not for profit educational organization where members teach each other digital skills.
It's not like legacy institutions are doing anything about the great need for this type of education 🤷
