I got a BSc in Computer Science in 2004, my missus left and I ended up looking after my disabled son 24/7 since then, with no room for work.
Then he got an NDIS grant a year ago and I got 12 hours a week, so I enrolled in Internetworking and Cyber Security ... trust me, it was like getting out of horse and buggy and into a Saturn V rocket on the way to the moon LOL.
Going from what I learned in 2000's to the virtual world of today ... holy smoke :)
But it's rekindled the fire in me for the subject seriously.
Oh, and if you ever want to buy and swap parts, help build boxes, or design and implement social media marketing campaigns, lol. Purely by chance, I got a businesswoman who knew I dabbled with puters, and so she said here's a budget, build me a comprehensive marketing campaign, complete with logos, websites, and centralized control of the whole setup.
So I need a partner with the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to help build the backbone ... I'll split it 50-50??? Anyone???
C/C++, java, and Perl were my main interests years ago, but I'm luvin Python ... although I still have a soft spot for Perl. I've never seen so few chars of code do so much to a Txt file. Feel free to message me if you want to create for $.
I really do need help this month lol
I used to work in marketing, I do not have time to take anything as big as what you are working on but if you want someone to bounce ideas off of I have fun talking about that kind of stuff.
Hello everyone š
I'm Marc, a developer (mainly Rails) based in Barcelona, who loves OSS (I'm currently maintaining more than 10 projects, in the Ruby and JS communities). You can check out my GitHub profile at: github.com/markets.
Really happy to join this community to share interesting projects, ideas, and help others to start in the open source ecosystem. In fact, I'm currently building a platform (opensource-heroes.com) to explore the open source world data (top users, top repos, filter by languages, filter by country, star history, reviews and much more).
Don't hesitate to contact me if you like to chat about web development, Rails, OSS, start-ups or side projects. Happy hacking!

Hello, I'm a FE developer with 2+ years experience. I'm new here and have just published my first article š
I've documented my attempt at improving performance, accessibility and SEO of one of my old personal projects, tackling subjects such as the usage of semantic HTML, image and font optimisation, and javascript improvements. You can find it here: Improve performance, accessibility and SEO of your projects.
Your feedback would mean the world to me, as I continue on this journey to learn while sharing knowledgeš. Let me know if you agree with the mentioned strategies and suggest others you would implement.
