One day, a junior became a middle. Then a senior. And that’s when THEY came — the recruiters. With offers. And so began the ancient game of hide and seek...
I’m one of them. Yep, one of recruiters.
But wait — don’t run. I’m not here to spam you!
I’m Alexandra. I work in business development at an international tech recruitment agency.
Mostly here to read, learn, and maybe share a few behind-the-scenes insights on hiring and job search.
If you're curious about career stuff or just want to chat — say hi!
Otherwise, see you around!
Hey Alexandra, great to see a recruiter taking the time to engage with the dev community in a non-spammy way! It's always refreshing when recruiters come across as approachable and genuinely interested in understanding the industry, rather than just pushing job offers :)
Thanks! I’ll try to live up to that. Followed you ❤️
Hi Alexandra 👋
That’s a great intro, it made me smile! I’m Md Kaif, a Software Engineer from India working in full-stack development and AI/ML systems. Always curious about the hiring landscape and how recruiters view tech talent. Would be happy to exchange insights and connect!
Haha, glad it made you smile! Let’s connect, would be nice to stay in touch!
Hey Alaxandra!!
Hey, nice to meet you!
Hi Alexandra, Am Alexander.
Nice to meet you, name twin! But wait... Is Brian your undercover nickname? 😄
Hi!!!
Hi! following you😉
Welcome to the lion's den Alexandra 😆
Hopefully you'll get valuable insights too, while letting us know better how recruiters think and make their decisions.
Guess we’ll see if I make it out alive! And sure >> can lift the curtain on how recruiters actually THINK. Might ruin a few myths... or prove them🤣
Hi, Alexandra
Hi! Nice to e-meet you :)
So, what does the market look like right now given the current scenario?
Hi,
Trying to start my career in IT ;)
Hey! I’ll be honest. We rarely get junior openings in our agency.
Hm, I remember one client, though. They hired "young and eager” candidates. That’s an exception. And they’re not hiring right now — otherwise I’d have shared the link as an example and in case it matched your stack :)
For getting your first IT experience, I’d recommend open-source projects on GitHub, internships on LinkedIn/Wellfound, and freelance gigs on Upwork or Fiverr. That way you’ll have at least smth to show employers.
Happy to connect :)
Hey!
Thank you for the tips.
I am happy too :-)
You're welcome. Good luck to you!
Merci :)
Hello. Hire me!
Hired! …oh wait, what can you actually do and how much are you after? 😂
Well, I can develop in many languages, both desktop and web. C# and ASP.NET are the two main technologies I’m currently working with, and I have over 10 years of experience in them. I’m not asking for much, as I’m Brazilian and our currency isn’t very strong, so it really depends on the job. Something around $40k per year would be enough.
Sounds solid… Ok, ok, honestly, I am impressed. Mind sending me your resume? I’ll get my fellow-colleagues to see if we’ve got something for a fine senior (or higher?) like you 🙂

I will be starting my own "David's Code BootCamp" in a couple of weeks when I return to Brazil, and looking to connect to people interested in #LearningInPublic and development of AI Agents.
If you are on similar journey I would be glad to connect!
That’s such an exciting shift, David! 🔥 Launching your own ‘David’s Code BootCamp’ sounds like a fantastic way to combine teaching with building. I’m also deeply interested in AI agent development, so I’d love to follow your journey.
That’s a solid shift. Curious to see what you build with the bootcamp!

I'm a junior fullstack react/ts andy. I've made a few websites & apps in production using nextjs & expo, and a freelance project using astro. I'm learning prisma in my free time alongside svelte, nest & pytorch.
I like my dist as smol as possible.
I want to be an entrepreneur & have a bunch of unfinished projects.
I also want to be a one-stop-shop, from ideation, design, architecture, to production, deployment, seo & maintainance, for software solutions - working freelance, independent from a company. I know a bit of figma so I'm learning how to make some basic design files too + always on the lookout to increase my ui/ux knowledge (or maybe that's just me procrastinating).
I'm currently in the process of building up my portfolio & demo projects for freelance. (If you have a project you need made for super cheap, hit me up!)
I'll post about my learning journey, about the projects I'll be making, & any work that might come my way. Maybe rant about work or gossip about new tech stuff.
And ask a bunch of questions.
Nice to meet y'all~ please take care of me~ <3
//you can hit me up for anything~
Hey Satya, sounds like you've got a lot of exciting things going on! Looking forward to following your journey and seeing the cool things you build :)

🚀 How I Built an AI Agent That Generates Structured Test Cases in Minutes
Hey there! I'm Gianpietro, an AI Engineer, that is, a Full-Stack Engineer who works with the aid of Generative AI on projects that involve Agentic workflows (not a Machine Learning Engineer). I'm always studying frontend and backend technologies, the latest LLM tools, and how I can integrate them into my workflow and applications. I really believe in AI. It is a powerful and disruptive technology. I also believe it's overhyped. I'm into diving into what works and what doesn't.
