When I open it in codepen, some of your trees make an attempt to escape Earth's gravity well:

sunset wallpaper with mis-aligned trees floating in the air

I'm not sure I'd call it "pure CSS" when it needs 40 div elements to support it, either!

Seriously, though, this looks very nice. Good job.

The laws of gravity are different in CSS world.

I've made a few more arts and all of them are responsive but this one๐Ÿ˜“. And by pure CSS, I meant without using any CSS libraries/frameworks/preprocessors.
